A 35-year-old man in Thailand, Sathaporn Chieaplaem, was arrested after stabbing his stepfather, Krisada Marcha, during a heated argument at a rented room in Central Pattaya on January 12, Sunday. Police and rescue workers responded to the scene on Soi Paniadchang 8, where they found Marcha covered in blood with a knife lodged into his head. Also injured at the scene was Sathaporn, who had a head wound. He was treated at the scene before being transported to Banglamung Hospital.
According to Sathaporn, the argument began over how to fry an egg and escalated when his stepfather struck him in the head with a soup bowl. In a fit of rage, Sathaporn grabbed a knife and stabbed his stepfather. Sathaporn admitted to the stabbing, claiming his stepfather initiated the violence. He explained that their frequent arguments stemmed from his growing dissatisfaction with his stepfather living with his mother, a source of tension for some time. Pattaya police have arrested Sathaporn and are currently holding him for further questioning at the Pattaya Police Station
