Thai Embassy in Yangon to accept only e-Visa applications starting Jan 1

(Reuters) - Thanasi Kokkinakis and Nick Kyrgios will team up for doubles at next month's Australian Open, and the entertaining local duo is aiming to dazzle crowds at the Grand Slam again.

YANGON: The Thai Embassy in Yangon has announced that it will only accept applications for Thai visas through the e-Visa system starting Jan 1, 2025.

Visa applicants no longer need to come and apply for passports and visa documents in person at the embassy and the new e-Visa system for all types of visas must be applied for at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/. After paying the visa fee, it may take 10 to 15 days to evaluate visa applications in the e-visa system.
