PETALING JAYA: Labuan MP Suhaili Abdul Rahman says he is willing to vacate his seat should the amendment to Bersatu’s constitution on Saturday forbid him from supporting the prime minister.

“Whatever amendment is made to Bersatu’s constitution on March 2, I will not budge and will continue to support Anwar, even if I have to vacate my seat,” he said. The amendments to Article 10 in the constitution seek to prevent the recurrence of such incidents and to prepare for by-elections should any of the MPs’ seats be vacated.Bukit Gantang MP Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal and Gua Musang MP Azizi Abu Naim have also declared their readiness to vacate their seats and return the mandate to the people.
