Menurut seorang wanita tempatan di kawasan tersebut, kucing yang berada di dalam sangkar seperti di dalam foto yang ditularkan itu juga adalah haiwan peliharaan pemilik kedai itu, ianya tidak dijual.
Baru-baru ini, kecoh di media sosial mengenai dakwaan seorang jurugambar dari United Kingdom yang kononnya terdapat sebuah gerai di Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur yang menjual daging kucing.
Tinjauan BuzzKini dapati kedai sudah lama ditutup BuzzKini berkesempatan hari ini untuk ke lokasi tersebut yang terletak di dalam pasar basah di Petaling Street. Ditanya mengenai dakwaan menjual daging kucing pula, wanita tersebut menyatakan bahawa kedai itu hanya menjual daging babi. “Kedai ini dah tutup tiga tahun lalu, dia hanya jual daging khinzir, di Petaling Street tidak pernah ada kedai yang menjual daging kucing,” katanya.
Kami sudah cuba menghubungi Ketua Polis Daerah Dang Wangi, Asisten Komisioner Noor Dellhan Yahaya dan masih lagi menunggu respon balas daripada beliau.
