Recipients of the first phase of the Bantuan Tunai Rahmah (STR) in Melaka, mostly from the B40 income group, expressed gratitude for the financial assistance, stating that it significantly eased their daily expenses amidst rising living costs.

MELAKA: Rata-rata rakyat Melaka daripada golongan isu rumah berpendapatan 40 peratus terendah lega dan bersyukur apabila bayaran Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah Fasa 1 telah diterima oleh mereka.

Seorang guru Taska di Telok Mas, Siti Humairah Atiqah Bakhtiar, 23, berkata, wang berkenaan akan digunakannya untuk keperluan hariannya sementara menunggu gaji yang diterima hujung bulan ini.“Saya harap kerajaan patut teruskan inisiatif seperti ini untuk bantu golongan B40 walaupun hanya RM150, bantuan macam ini banyak ringankan beban saya,” katanya ketika ditemui di Bank Simpanan Nasional Jalan Munshi Abdullah di sini.

“Seperti saya yang sedang mencari kerja, bantuan ini cukup melegakan kerana dapatlah saya bantu keluarga dan digunakan untuk perbelanjaan harian,” ujarnya.
