The Catholic Diocese of Birmingham's full-time archivist will work with the hospital to help document the artifacts.

Bryan Jerabek, pastor of St. Paul’s Cathedral and chancellor of the Diocese of Birmingham.
The Daughters of Charity and other religious orders that own Ascension Health and run that chain of Catholic hospitals have been divesting from many of their properties. “Bishop Raica did note in it his sadness how Catholic-inspired healthcare was ending in the city,” Jerabek said.
