shared images of what looks to be a long-abandoned NSX that, according to them, has spent the last two-plus decades sitting in the Yadkin River, which runs longitudinally down central North Carolina.
The car was reportedly stolen in the late Nineties, and was only discovered while an adjacent car was being recovered from the the river in regards to a 2019 murder case. According to Johnson, the buyer of the forlorn NSX, a person from Maryland, plans to give the Acura a full restoration. While we don't doubt their determination, we have no doubt the car will need absolutely everything addressed. The drivetrain has been sitting water-logged for over two decades, and many parts likely aren't salvageable. The body, similarly, has likely developed copious amounts of rust, which will take a lot of time, effort, and money to fix.
