A social media influencer in Malaysia has been arrested for allegedly uploading a threatening post related to the assault of a disabled man at a farmers market. The 36-year-old suspect was apprehended in Johor and remanded for investigation under criminal intimidation and the Communications and Multimedia Act. The victim, Ahmad Nor Al Faizan Jusoh, is in stable condition at a hospital.

He added that the suspect has been remanded until Monday for further investigation under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation and the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for the improper use of network facilities or services. "I want to remind the public, regardless of background, to refrain from uploading any content that could cause public anxiety," he said in a statement on Sunday.
