LABUAN: The Petronas Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG) Labuan-based Be Green 2023 Waste Management Competition has successfully instilled a sense of responsibility for the environment and promoted better waste management practices among participating students.
Priscilla Johnny, a student from SM St Anthony, lauded the Be Green 2023 Waste Management Competition for its profound impact on students. She emphasized that one of the competition’s significant benefits is its ability to nurture a deep appreciation and love for the environment.Brenda Onielyn, another student participant, shared her insights on the competition’s lessons regarding the excessive use of plastics and its adverse effects on the environment.
She said through the competition, students became acutely aware of the detrimental consequences of plastic overuse and its implications for environmental protection.
