Slight drop in dengue cases in Johor from last week

JOHOR BARU: The number of dengue cases recorded in Johor during the 16th epidemiological week (ME16) this year saw a slight drop from the previous week.

State health and unity committee chairman Ling Tian Soon said a total of 152 cases were reported during ME16, from April 16 to 22.

He added that the cumulative number of cases as of ME16 is significantly higher compared to the same period last year. He also said more than 2,000 compound notices have been issued this year to premises statewide found to be breeding Aedes mosquitoes.
