Six friends in Malaysia have been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl five years ago. The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted bail.

Six friends pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court in Muar, Malaysia , to charges of taking turns to sexually assault a teenage girl in Tangkak five years ago. The accused, aged between 20 and 23, were identified as Muhammad Amirul Aiman Sahrrol, Muhammad Azizi Shamsor Kamar, Muhammad Azizan, Muhammad Asraf Rosli, Hafsyal Sufian Kamaluddin, and Muhammad Hafize Abd Rahim. The alleged assault took place at a house in Tangkak between 1.30am and 2am on January 20, 2019.

They are accused of committing physical sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl who was visiting one of the accused's houses. The prosecution requested bail to be set at RM20,000 with two additional conditions, but the court allowed each accused to be bailed at RM10,000 with one surety. The court also ordered the accused to report to the nearest police station once a month and barred them from approaching the victim
