The US also revealed that a Chinese fighter jet last week flew within 120 metres of a US surveillance plane in the South China Sea in an "aggressive" and "dangerous" manoeuvre.Beijing responded by again accusing the United States of provoking China by conducting aerial and maritime patrols in the region, which Beijing regards as its sovereign territory.
