NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham says he finds it “sickening” to see people attempt to stage a political campaign at Cardinal George Pell’s funeral.

“I’m going to the funeral tomorrow in large part, not out of respect for the man who has passed away, it has come much bigger than that individual George Pell,” Mr Latham told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“It is now, I think, a statement about the importance of the rule of law in Australia. He died an innocent man, the High Court cleared him seven nil and you can’t get more comprehensive than that.”
