Energy company Shell has ended its freeze on east coast gas producers, offering new supply deals to the Australian market.
Energy companies had been warned by the ACCC they must offer new supply deals compliant with the $12 per gigajoule price cap imposed in December.
Shell says its Queensland gas company will soon begin accepting bids for gas supply for the first time this year in addition to a previous, larger offer last month.
