Ms Daoui ran her first marathon at 16, raising more than $5,000 for displaced Syrians affected by their country's civil war."Running has helped me a lot," she said.The registered nurse says being named Tasmanian Young Australian of the Year is "really, really special"."But I hope that small per cent is doing something, and I want to continue to pursue that for the rest of my life.
