Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad (SCIB) has filed a lawsuit against Awana JV Suria Saga Sdn. Bhd. (Awana), seeking legal damages for the issuance of a loan without SCIB's consent. SCIB is seeking several court declarations to protect their financial interests and legal standing.
PETALING JAYA: Sarawak Consolidated Industries Berhad , pakar kejuruteraan awam melalui anak syarikat milik penuhnya, SCIB Properties Sdn. Bhd. memfailkan writ saman terhadap Awana JV Suria Saga Sdn. Bhd. , memohon ganti rugi undang-undang ke atas pengeluaran pinjaman tanpa kebenaran.
“Syarikat meminta pengesahan bahawa Penyelesaian merangkap Perjanjian Pelantikan Kontraktor dan kontrak berkaitan telah luput dan tidak lagi boleh dikuatkuasakan. “Syarikat juga sedang memohon injunksi interlokutori untuk menghalang Awana daripada terus menggunakan kemudahan pinjaman itu sehingga kes itu diselesaikan sepenuhnya,” katanya.
Pengarah Urusan Kumpulan SCIB, Ku Chong Hong berkata, SCIB kekal teguh dalam menegakkan disiplin kewangan dan integriti kontrak.
