Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, is suing a TikTok user for defamation after he accused her of practicing black magic. Rosmah is seeking RM1 million in damages, claiming the accusations have severely damaged her reputation and relationships.

Datuk Seri Rosmah Mansor , the wife of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, filed a defamation lawsuit against a TikTok user on September 19, 2023, seeking RM1 million in damages. The lawsuit stems from a video posted by 35-year-old Ku Muhammad Hilmie Ku Din on his TikTok account, “CEO Heelmie Fighter,” on March 22, 2023, which made accusations against Rosmah, alleging she practiced black magic.

Rosmah claims the video's content implied she was involved with demons and shamans, severely damaging her credibility, reputation, and public image. She asserts that the defamatory statements linked her to satanic practices, suggesting her appearance was a result of blasphemous acts. Rosmah argues that the amount of damages sought reflects her status, background, achievements, and reputation as a well-known figure and supporter of various charitable organizations in Malaysia. She claims the video's impact extended to her personal relationships, as friends questioned her ability to provide services, particularly within charity and welfare organizations. Some even distanced themselves, fearing association with her damaged reputation. On May 28, 2022, Rosmah secured a default judgment in the High Court after Ku Muhammad Hilmie failed to appear to respond to the lawsuit. Following a case management session on Tuesday, the court has scheduled May 27, 2023, to assess the damages.
