KUCHING, Aug 8 — Sarawak Skills and i-CATS University College — two technical education institutions belonging to the state government — can afford to increase green skills training programmes to produce a more skilled workforce in the field, says Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg.

“We are implementing a policy towards environmental preservation by switching to green energy with zero-carbon emissions. In fact, this state is a leader in ecosystem development and green hydrogen generation in Malaysia,” he said. In addition, he said the Sarawak government would also increase bursaries and scholarships for students who pursued their studies at i-CATS University College and other higher education institutions owned by the Sarawak government.
