Cancer patient Yong Chin Ping is seeking public support to cover his remaining treatment costs of RM855,000.
“The cost for each month’s treatment is RM38,600,” he said at a press conference at Sarawak United People’s Party Bukit Assek service centre in Kuching,
Yong said that when he first found out he had cancer on Dec 2 last year at Sibu General Hospital, it was already at stage 4. “I have already undergone six months of a new type of treatment at a private medical centre and my condition has improved. I have gained 10kg and can consume food. My treatment is for two years.”Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng said he tried to get the government to subsidise Yong’s treatment but he was unsuccessful.
