SANDAKAN: Early voting for the by-election here on Tuesday (May 7) has ended with 75% of eligible voters turning up to cast their ballots.
Voting started at 8am at two centres, with the one at Sandakan police headquarters clubhouse closing at noon and the other at the marine police mess closing at 2pm.EC secretary Datuk Mohamed Elias Abu Bakar said earlier Tuesday turnout was expected to be only 70%.
Mohamed Elias also asked the public or election observers who notice any wrongdoing to make a police report and include detailed information to facilitate a thorough investigation.
