SAN ANTONIO — A 29-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the sexual assault of his friend’s widow, according to San Antonio police.The 51-year-old victim told police that Maldonado, a friend of her recently deceased husband, had offered to do some chores around her house on Aug. 26 because he was a handyman, an affidavit supporting his arrest said.When Maldonado arrived, he and the victim had one beer each as the victim showed him what work needed to be done.
She told police that she went to get a doorknob to be installed from her car and didn’t remember anything after that, the affidavit said. She woke up the next morning in bed with different clothes. Fearing she had been sexually assaulted, she went to a hospital where staff confirmed that she experienced physical trauma.
