The Sabah state government is agreeable to the idea of preserving the remains of Tam, the last male Sumatran rhino in Malaysia, but noted it is not an easy feat.
However, Sabah Wildlife Department director Augustine Tuuga said the location where it would be exhibited has not been determined yet. Augustine noted that Puntung, the cancer-stricken female Sumatran rhino which was euthanised in 2017, was also immortalised and displayed at the Tabin information centre at the State's east coast.
