Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor stresses the importance of efficient service delivery and prioritization of public well-being by civil servants in Sabah.

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor emphasizes the importance of civil servants prioritizing the well-being of the rakyat (people) in their responsibilities. He urges them to streamline processes and eliminate bureaucracy to efficiently resolve issues concerning infrastructure and basic amenities, particularly water and electricity supply. Hajiji stresses that all projects approved for public benefit must be implemented promptly.

He calls for proactive and sensitive responses to the needs of the people. The Chief Minister highlights the Sabah State Government's development strategies aimed at benefiting the rakyat. He points to their success in generating RM7 billion in revenue last year through initiatives under the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya Development Plan. Investment-friendly policies have attracted investments, evidenced by the full occupancy of the Sipitang Oil and Gas Park (SOGIP) and the near-full occupancy of the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP). The Commercial Collaborative Agreement (CCA) with Petronas has also brought benefits from the oil and gas industry, with the State Government actively seeking to secure a larger share and more benefits. To further enhance service delivery, the State Cabinet has approved the hiring of more professionals, particularly engineers, for the state works and water departments. These positions are currently being filled to ensure efficient work operations. Hajiji anticipates that this new workforce will contribute to resolving pressing issues such as water shortages. He also demands a comprehensive and timely report from the Water Department regarding the Sandakan water supply crisis, where only one of the three water treatment plants is functional. He warns the concessionaire of potential action if they fail to fulfill their contractual obligation to provide water to consumers in the district
