KOTA KINABALU: More businesses are now allowed to operate in Sabah amid the movement control order (MCO).
They include shops that sell computers, stationery, handphones and religious items, as well as those that offer photostat services.
State secretary Datuk Safar Untong said these shops could operate from 8am to 5pm every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. “However, it will be up to the local authorities to decide which shops are allowed to operate in each district, ” he said in a statement on Thursday . In addition, runners or private cash-on-delivery services for essential goods are also allowed to operate.The district disaster operation centres will monitor the operations of these shops and services.
