KOTA KINABALU: The people should not abuse official letters issued by the authorities for them to move about during the movement control order (MCO), says Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Christina Liew.

KOTA KINABALU: The people should not abuse official letters issued by the authorities for them to move about during the movement control order , says Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Christina Liew .

"Do not misuse these letters as an excuse to travel freely while not on duty. We do not wish to see a recurrence of the incident last week," she said when commenting on the death of a telecommunications company’s contractor in an accident. The Tawau MP said it was an unfortunate case and added that the victim was not assigned to carry out any official duty at that time.She urged the people to stay home and not defy the MCO, which has been extended to May 12.
