Perumpamaan itu sesuai ditujukan kepada seorang wanita yang bukan sahaja tidak memperoleh keuntungan lumayan seperti dijanjikan menerusi pelaburan mata wang kripto, malah wang pelaburannya bernilai RM130,000 turut lesap.
Ketua Polis Daerah Seri Alam, Asisten Komisioner Mohd. Sohaimi Ishak berkata, mangsa berusia 45 tahun yang bekerja sebagai ejen hartanah menerima mesej menerusi aplikasi WhatsApp yang memaklumkan tentang peluang pelaburan tersebut.
“Mangsa kemudian menekan pautan yang diberi sebelum melakukan lima transaksi pembayaran ke dalam tiga akaun bank berbeza bermula 21 November tahun lalu hingga 3 Januari tahun ini melibatkan wang berjumlah RM130,000. “Walau bagaimanapun, mangsa tidak dibenar untuk mengeluarkan keuntungan yang diperoleh, sebaliknya diminta untuk membuat pembayaran tambahan,” katanya.
Tambah Mohd. Sohaimi, mangsa membuat laporan polis kelmarin dan kes disiasat di bawah Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan.
