For reference, the EX5 in Thailand starts at 859,000 baht for the Pro variant, while the Proton eMas 7 Prime in Malaysia starts the range from RM109,800.

In Malaysia, the Proton variant with the largest battery of 60.22 kWh capacity is claimed to be capable of 410 km , while the eMas 7 Prime does 345 km , or 410 km on the NEDC measure. The Australian-market EX5 is claimed to attain a 30-80% recharge in an identical 20 minutes as that achieved by the eMas 7 Premium at 100 kW DC, and the eMas 7 Prime variant at 80 kW DC. Charging rates via AC have yet to be officially confirmed for the Australian EX5, though for reference both variants of the eMas 7 can take up to 11 kW AC, needing 4.9 hours for a full charge of the Prime and 4.1 hours for the Premium.
