Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh confirmed that the incident happened, and said that the driver of the car seen in the viral video is receiving treatment for schizophrenia at Hospital Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom.
Sinar Harian reported that ACP Bahrin added that the man is also receiving treatment at a clinic and had previously been treated for mental illness at Hospital Permai, Johor Bahru in 2020 and 2021.
