Putrajaya perlu realistik nilai krisis Covid-19, kata Anwar

Presiden PKR itu berkata gambaran ekonomi kerajaan perlu diubah untuk menggambarkan “persekitaran luar biasa” yang wujud kerana wabak Covid-19. Anwar berkata projeksi menunjukkan ekonomi Malaysia mungkin menguncup daripada -1.0% sehingga -4.6% pada 2020, memerlukan “kejujuran menggambarkan” masalah daripada kerajaan.
“Optimisme diluahkan Menteri Kewangan berkaitan sebilangan projeksi yang Malaysia boleh memulihkan pertumbuhannya kepada 5.8% pada 2021 adalah bermasalah kerana kita masih tidak tahu sepenuhnya kesan krisis Covid-19, bila ia akan berakhir dan bagaimana ia akan menjejaskan ekonomi yang berkaitan dengan kita,” katanya.
