Two PUSPAKOM staff from the Wangsa Maju branch in Kuala Lumpur have been summoned by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) to give their statements. The JPJ conducted a surprise inspection at PUSPAKOM centers nationwide, uncovering the use of worn-out and unsafe tyres on heavy vehicles. The discovery prompted the JPJ to investigate the matter further.

“Kita temui masih banyak lagi lori ataupun bas yang datang untuk pemeriksaan di PUSPAKOM menggunakan tayar tidak selamat. Kita dapati tayar tersebut sangat dalam keadaan uzur dan saya percaya kalau tayar itu digunakan atas jalan raya, bila-bila masa sahaja ia akan meletup,” katanya.“Dalam operasi hari ini di Puspakom Wangsa Maju bagi tempoh dua jam, JPJ telah melakukan pemeriksaan ke atas 115 lori dan mengeluarkan 69 notis saman serta 29 kenderaan telah diambil tindakan,” katanya.
“Saya sudah maklumkan kepada Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif PUSPAKOM mengenai perkara ini dan pihaknya berjanji tidak akan berkompromi terhadap mana-mana kakitangan yang dikesan melakukan kerja yang tidak sepatutnya,” katanya lagi
