Puspakom has confirmed that two staff members from its Wangsa Maju branch have been summoned by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) to provide statements. The reason for the summons remains undisclosed. JPJ conducted a surprise inspection at the Wangsa Maju branch, seizing a vehicle for utilizing a foreign driver without a valid license. Puspakom CEO Mahmood Razak Bahman stated that the company will cooperate fully with JPJ and take appropriate disciplinary action against any staff found to have acted improperly.

Vehicle inspection services provided Puspakom has confirmed that two of its staff from its Wangsa Maju branch have been summoned to provide statements to the road transport department , theIn a statement issued last night, Puspakom CEO Mahmood Razak Bahman said the two staff members were scheduled to give their statements to JPJ ’s enforcement department today. He did not however provide further details on why the Puspakom personnel were being required to give statements.

Mahmood also confirmed that a vehicle inspected at the Wangsa Maju branch had been seized by JPJ for utilising a foreign driver without a valid driving licence., which was carried out yesterday without prior notice given to Puspakom, JPJ personnel inspected 115 lorries, issued 69 summonses and took action against 29 vehicles, also seizing five cars and two lorries in the process, according to aMahmood said that full cooperation would be given to JPJ.

He added that Puspakom welcomed enforcement actions at its branches, aimed at ensuring that inspection operations are carried out according to the established standard operating procedures. “Puspakom is always committed to ensuring that all vehicles inspected meet the required safety standards. This surprise inspection is part of the RTD’s ongoing efforts to ensure safety and compliance with road vehicle laws. We fully support this initiative to ensure that all inspection procedures are carried out transparently and in accordance with the standards set by the authorities,” he said.
