Proton Malaysia has opened a new showroom dedicated to its electric vehicle (EV) lineup, the Proton e.MAS. The showroom, located in Cheras, marks the company's commitment to expanding its EV presence in the country.

The new showroom, located in Taman Sri Bahtera, marks Able Mobility Sdn Bhd's fourth Proton dealership and their first EV-exclusive showroom under the Proton e.MAS brand. The showroom features a dedicated space for customers to experience and purchase the Proton e.MAS 7, the country's most popular electric SUV.
The grand opening ceremony was graced by prominent figures, including Dato' Sri Mustapa Mohamed, former Minister of International Trade and Industry, and Roslan Abdullah, Proton's Deputy CEO. The new showroom boasts a comprehensive range of facilities, including a service center and a DC charger equipped with two CCS2 nozzles, catering to the growing needs of EV owners. The Proton e.MAS 7, known for its impressive performance and competitive pricing, has rapidly gained popularity among Malaysian consumers. Since its launch, bookings have exceeded 2,500 units within just two weeks, prompting Proton to extend its special launch price offer. Customers can still enjoy a RM4,000 rebate on the Proton e.MAS 7, bringing the price down to RM105,800 for the Prime model and RM119,800 for the Premium model. These prices are inclusive of on-the-road costs but exclude insurance. Early bird buyers of the Proton e.MAS 7 will also receive a welcome package comprising a complimentary 7kW Home Charger worth RM1,500 and a complimentary vehicle-to-load (V2L) adapter worth RM500. The Proton e.MAS 7 comes with a comprehensive package that includes 5-year unlimited in-car internet data, a 6-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, and an 8-year/160,000 km warranty for the high-voltage battery, driving motor, and driving motor controllers. Proton's collaboration with AAPICO, a leading automotive group in Thailand, has further strengthened its position in the EV market. AAPICO, under the leadership of Mr. Yeap Swee Chuan, is renowned for its expertise in OEM auto parts manufacturing and has established a strong presence in various countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, China, and Portugal.
