ProLintas, the company behind the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway ( SUKE ) project, has pledged a zero-tolerance policy towards breaches of integrity and corporate governance . This statement comes following charges brought by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) against ProLintas' Chief Operating Officer (COO), Ir. Rostam Shahrif Tami, and a project manager, Zairulnizam Rohani. ProLintas clarified that the individuals involved are associated with Turnpike Synergy Sdn. Bhd.

, the construction company responsible for building SUKE. Both individuals have been granted leave since July 9th and 16th, 2023, respectively. ProLintas emphasized the seriousness of the allegations and has fully cooperated with the ongoing SPRM investigation.They pledged to continue supporting and cooperating with relevant authorities in the matter. The company reiterated its commitment to achieving the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance in all business operations. ProLintas stated that it will continue taking necessary steps to ensure its internal processes are robust and aligned with best corporate governance practices. Earlier, ProLintas' COO, Rostam Shahrif Tami, 59, pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court today to charges of receiving bribes totalling RM70,000 from a construction company in relation to the SUKE project on April 12, 2023.Rostam pleaded not guilty after the charges were read before Judge Rosli Ahmad. According to the charges, Rostam was accused of corruptly receiving a bribe for himself, in the form of RM70,000 in cash, from a construction company through an individual as compensation for his actions. The charges stated that Rostam received the RM70,000 bribe from the Authorized Officer Representative of Satunas Technologies Sdn. Bhd. for the Private Concession Project of the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE), specifically for awarding Contract No. 3 titled 'To Construct End Cap Stressing And Shear Block' and 'To Install Expension Joint Including Hacking, Grouting And Nosing' to the said company. The alleged offense took place at a mosque car park in Jalan Damai, Kampung Datuk Keramat, on April 12, 2023. The charges were brought under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009 and are punishable under Section 24(1) of the same act.
