The private sector is waiting for clear regulations from the government to participate in implementing WFH. However, employers estimate the figure will be below 50 percent.

In Minister of Home Affairs Instruction Number 2 of 2023, the government once again urged the private sector to participate in implementing WFH for its employees. The combination of working from home and working from the office in the private sector is expected to help reduce the use of private motor vehicles in the Jabodetabek area.
"From the results of discussions with the government, appropriate regulations are still being studied, including the applied scheme. However, we estimate that if DKI civil servants can be involved for 50 percent, it may be difficult for the business world to achieve that," said Nurjaman when contacted on Wednesday .The community walked in the area of Sudirman Station, Central Jakarta, on Sunday .
It is planned that businesses located in Central Jakarta and South Jakarta will follow the WFH policy, as in the DKI Provincial Government. Meanwhile, in other areas of Jakarta, working hours will be regulated. "Sir/Madam, there are private sectors that are still implementing WFH since the pandemic, which can be continued. However, there are a number of business units that cannot be generalized and must simultaneously implement WFH. Its implementation and scheme need to be determined by the private sector," said Diana.
