Concerns among Malays that the government’s policies are becoming more inclusive and tolerant of others, potentially sacrificing their interests, are clearly misplaced, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The Prime Minister reassures that under the current government, the position of Malay rulers, Malay and Bumiputera privileges, Islam as the religion of the Federation, and Bahasa Melayu as the official language will never be jeopardized.
He also highlighted the recent Bandar Malaysia project, where a minimum portion of 50 acres was preserved as a Malay reserve, marking the first time since independence. This move, according to Anwar, instills confidence that the government is fair and considers every Malaysian as an equal member of the national family
