Police Investigation Report on Zaharif Affendi's Death Taken Over by Criminal Investigation DivisionThe High Court in Ipoh was informed today that the investigation report of the police case involving the alleged murder of student Muhammad Zaharif Affendi Muhd Zamrie has been taken over by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ipoh Police Headquarters from the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department. The report was initially opened on December 15, 2023, by Traffic Investigator Insp. Jong Pit Chao. However, on December 16, 2023, it was taken over by the CID Ipoh and controlled by ASP Chua Sze Chuan, upon orders from the Chief of the Ipoh Police. On December 18, 2023, following charges and further investigation orders from the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP), the report was taken over by ASP S. Dasarathan, upon orders from the Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), assisted by both initial investigators, Insp. Jong and ASP Chua.
