Police investigating after woman carjacked in Mission Valley [Breaking]
San Diego police are investigating after a man pulled a woman from her car and took off in it Saturday afternoon in Mission Valley.
The carjacking happened just after 2:30 p.m. by Fashion Valley mall on Fashion Valley Road near Friars Road, Officer Darius Jamsetjee said. He said the encounter started with a minor traffic crash involving the woman, who was driving a black Nissan Sentra.Jamsetjee said the woman pulled over. A man approached, yanked her from the driver’s seat, climbed in and sped north on Fashion Valley toward Friars.
It was unclear if the man had been involved in or connected to the crash. Robbery detectives are investigating.
