Police in Kerian, Malaysia, have completed an investigation into an alleged assault of a school student by a teacher. The investigation papers were sent to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters Perak on January 27th and will be further forwarded to Bukit Aman's Legal Investigation Division due to the involvement of a public servant. The papers will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for charging instructions after review. The case stemmed from a report filed by the student's mother alleging that her son was injured by a 30-year-old male teacher on December 10th. While the initial report was withdrawn, the mother later filed another report requesting police to continue the investigation and take action against the teacher.
