PETALING JAYA: The investigation into the death of teenager Yap Xin Yuan is nearly complete, with police awaiting full forensic analysis of CCTV footage and post-mortem report s.
Comm Hussein added that preliminary post-mortem results revealed traces of MDMA in the victim's body. "Once all the reports are obtained, we will refer the investigation paper back to the deputy public prosecutor. When we refer the IP to the DPP, we will recommend the suspects be prosecuted, but the decision will be made by the DPP," he added.
"However, investigators have received further instructions on the case. Two of the suspects have been freed on police bail following the expiration of their remand," he said.
