KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will hold a ‘Temu Anwar’ session at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan on Sunday.
Anwar, in a Facebook post, invited the people of Kelantan, especially youths, to participate in the dialogue which will take place at UMK’s Dewan Tuanku Canselor.“Participants are free to throw questions during the session and I will answer,” he said.‘Temu Anwar’ is a dialogue session implemented since 2009 to give all levels of society, especially youths, to engage with the leader.
Since being appointed prime minister in November last year, the dialogue has been held in Kuala Lumpur, Sabah and Penang. — Bernama

K'tan expected to get RM1.7bil from federal govt to address water woes, says Deputy MBGUA MUSANG: The Kelantan government is expected to receive an allocation of RM1.7bil to address water supply issues in the state, says Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah. The Deputy Mentri Besar said Kelantan had initially asked for an allocation of RM8bil from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Astro Awani reported. Mohd Amar said the request was studied and the Federal government had agreed to allocate RM1.7bil initially. He also told Astro Awani that a special committee would be set up involving the state government and the Finance Ministry. 'As a result of a meeting with the Prime Minister, a special committee was set up and had its first meeting two days ago (on June 13),' Mohd Amar told Astro Awani at an event in Felda Chiku 2, here, on Thursday (June 15). Earlier, Anwar had said that the RM8bil request from Kelantan had been turned down as the government needed to study the matter to find out the state's specific needs.
