PM announces stamp duty exemption for first-time home owners
Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob says the government is providing stamp duty tax exemptions for property ownership transfers and loan agreements to enable Malaysians to own homes. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Afif Abd Halim, July 15, 2022.
He said a stamp duty exemption incentive of 50%, meanwhile, will be given for homes priced between RM500,000 and RM1 million. He said the government was carrying out various measures to enable Malaysians to own homes such as providing stamp duty tax exemption for property ownership transfers and loan agreements.
