Free education for 2,500 children of veterans, says PM

CHILDREN of armed forces veterans will have a chance to further their studies at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak for free for a year, with costs to be borne by the university, said Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob. He said the programme would extend over a five-year period at a cost of RM12,500 per student for the one-year period, after which they could choose to remain at the university or study elsewhere.
