PETALING JAYA: PKR president Anwar Ibrahim today maintained that his party is heading in “the right direction” despite claims of factions within the Pakatan Harapan component following the gay sex video controversy implicating his deputy Mohamed Azmin Ali.
“They consider that, but I think the party is moving in the right direction,” he said, adding however that “of course it’s not 100%”. PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin, a staunch supporter of Azmin, had said in July that there were cracks in the party although she spoke of these as differing “schools of thought”.On whether action would be taken against certain PKR leaders who have been said to be absent from bureau meetings, Anwar said the meeting last night was “very well attended”.“Vice-president Xavier Jayakumar was there, Tian Chua was there, Baru Bian was there, Ali Biju was there.
