Katanya pertemuan itu tepat pada waktunya setelah Presiden Amerika Syarikat , Donald Trump mengumumkan pelan untuk mengambil alih semenanjung Gaza. “Saya percaya pertemuan antara kedua-dua pemimpin utama dan besar ini yang juga sabahat lama, tentutnya akan memberi impak yang sangat signifikan terhadap ikhtiar masyarakat antarabgsa bagi mencari jalan untuk menjayakan pembangunan semula Gaza ini,” katanya.
Cadangan luar biasa Trump pada Selasa lalu itu bagaimanapun mengundang penolakan antarabangsa termasuk Malaysia dan Turki serta negara-negara Barat.
