5 million invested in 2024.This substantial investment will primarily be directed towards enhancing manufacturing capabilities, including upgrades to existing plants and the development of new tooling. Perodua also aims to expand its stamping capacity and strengthen research and development, product planning, and new model development initiatives. Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, president and CEO of Perodua, stated that the company's 2024 production success, exceeding its 320,000-unit capacity, was achieved through meticulous planning, coordination with vendors and dealers, and a commitment to agility in overcoming challenges. He highlighted that 2025 will be a pivotal year as Perodua prepares itself and its partners for upcoming changes, ultimately aiming to achieve greater self-reliance in production, particularly in developing future products.
