“The respective local councils will be determining the areas where such markets are allowed to operate,” he told a press conference after the state executive council meeting held at the state secretariat building. Faizal said for example, the Ipoh City Council for the first phase would only allow 15 sites for traders to operate within their jurisdiction.

“Of course, the standard operating procedure is a must to follow, as well as the timings for them to operate,” he added.
