The Perak Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) confiscated 393 units of branded laundry detergent suspected of being counterfeit during two separate raids in Seri Iskandar and Taiping. The confiscated products are believed to have used unauthorized brand trademarks. The seized goods and related documents are being investigated further. The estimated value of the confiscated goods from the two raided premises is RM7,124.27.

Pengarahnya Datuk Kamalludin Ismail berkata dalam serbuan tersebut pihaknya merampas 393 unit pencuci pakaian berjenama tiruan dipercayai menggunakan cap dagangan berjenama yang dipakaikan dengan salah pada barangan berkenaan. “Wakil syarikat cap dagang telah melakukan pengesahan awal terhadap semua sabun pencuci terbabit dan dipercayai premis telah melakukan kesalahan di bawah Seksyen 102 Akta Cap Dagangan 2019.

“Kesemua barangan dan dokumen berkaitan telah disita untuk siasatan lanjut serta nilai rampasan bagi dua premis yang kita serbu dianggarkan berjumlah RM7,124.27,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini. Beliau berkata pihaknya komited melindungi hak pemilik cap dagang dengan mengadakan pemantauan dan risikan berterusan terhadap premis yang menjual barangan berjenama bagi membanteras penjualan barang tiruan, seterusnya dapat meningkatkan keyakinan pelabur asing terutamanya di Perak.
