GEORGE TOWN: Penang Island City Council (MBPP) secretary Datuk A. Rajendran has been appointed as the new mayor.
Rajendran, 60, was appointed MBPP secretary in January 2022.He was earlier the engineering director of MBPP before being appointed as secretary.
State local government committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo announced the appointment at City Hall on Saturday .Rajendran thanked Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow and Jagdeep for the appointment.Article type: free
