Penang exco urges private hospitals to reject foreign patients with TB

PRIVATE hospitals and medical centres need to restrict the admission of foreign tuberculosis patients who come in as medical tourists to Penang, Health, Agriculture, Agro-Based Industries and Rural Development Committee chairman Dr Afif Bahardin said today. According to Afif, one of the concerns that the state government was facing now was the spread of TB, which it fears is being spread to the local population by foreign medical tourists.
