Members of the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee (PAC) dismissed a suggestion from RTÉ Director General Kevin Bakhurst this week on how to resolve the stalemate surrounding the legal note
RTÉ and the Public Accounts Committee must work out a solution to the ongoing argument over the release of a legal document as the Government decides on its future funding, Paschal Donohoe has said.
Mr Bakhurst suggested that RTÉ would provide a summary of what was in the note if the PAC agreed not to share it or include it in a report of the RTÉ saga. However, members have shot down this proposal. "Each of them have legal resources available to them and I hope they'd still be able to find a way of resolving this issue regarding the availability of documents.
